Black Thiles is for creatives who thrive on art. Black thiles collaborates with talented creatives to make art. We believe that all art forms can be intertwined to make a greater outcome. Our number one focus right now is to blend Art and Literature.

We aim to inspire hidden artists to believe in their capabilities; you can be whoever and whatever you desire. There is no shame in wanting to express yourself as an artist, no matter your experience.

"The Meaning of Our Name Explained"



A black thile is a person unseen, with hidden talents and treasures. We cannot see a person's colors as we stroll by. but as we get to know them, we uncover their strengths, talents, weaknesses, and potential. Only when we know them do we realize that we can't judge people for what they can't do. That's just an assumption we put on them as we place them into a box. The made-up word "thile" is that person's storyline. "Thiles" is for tales. So instead of "black tales," we've got "black thiles." Black thiles is how I see people I don't know. They are undiscovered tales, and it's my job to figure out what they're all about.

    CEO, Autor, Artist and Founder

    Mia is the CEO of Black Thiles and runs the daily operations of the company. She is the author of Black Thiles Joelle B. Walker and Black Thiles Short Stories. She is also the artist behind Black Thiles Art. Mia is educated as a Makeup Artist, and as an Actress and she is autodidact in writing and painting. Her work as an author and painter challenges the norms of perfection and focuses more on the content and the energy the words and the paintings give the reader or the observer.

  • Marianne Johnsen

    Manager / Designer

    Marianne is the Manager and Designer helping with strategy, planning and visual elements for the company, the website and for the book. Marianne is an entrepreneur and has been working many years with communication and concept development.

  • Bente Strøm

    Location Manager

    Bente is the Location Manager of events and Photoshoots in Black Thiles. She is a dedicated and trustworthy professional with the perfect attention to details. Bente is educated as a professional coach.
